Berger Houseboat Holidays is proud to operate the most modern and spacious fleet of house-boats, the widest range to choose from with eleven vessels available to cruise the Tweed River in New South Wales, just south of the Gold Coast.
We work hard to offer you the best range of well-maintained, well-presented houseboats on the Tweed River striving to give you the best house boating experience possible.
You are invited to experience a houseboat holiday, cruising at your leisure, enjoying the beautiful Tweed River.
We have boats with separate bedrooms; all have electric anchor winches; boats with stairs instead of ladders, and boats with 240-volt power to run things like mobile phone charges and video cameras. Some boats are capable of running unlimited 240-volt power for things like hairdryers, coffee machines, blenders etc.
Click here for our standard features on all our houseboats. To maximise your comfort, choose the boat that most suits your needs. If you are not sure, please ask and we will recommend the vessel that will suit you best. And be sure to read our Hire Terms and Procedures before making a booking.
Remember, no boating or fishing licences are required.
Pacific Blue creates a whole new category of houseboat on the Tweed River. She stands out as the only one in her class. Boarded from the rear deck, which is framed by the gleaming stainless steel handrails, you enter directly into the large lounge/dining room area decorated in timber and luxurious fittings, immediately giving you that “wow” impression.
Kalinda is a lovely large vessel with all her cabins downstairs and a great entertaining area upstairs. Not only does she have a solid roof over two-thirds of the upper deck (front area) she also has protective clears (clear vinyl) surrounds. This means that if the weather is inclement or cool, you can simply close the clears and an enclosed room is created.
Twin sliding glass doors open from the lounge room onto the front deck, and her lower lounge feels large and open, with two double futons if needed.
Sundancer is an extremely popular houseboat, particularly with the larger groups. Her large top deck with the solid roof over makes her a great party boat. The large lounge room, dining room also contains a double trundle bed and a double futon if you require extra beds over those in the four bedrooms.
When entering Image Anne you feel like you are entering a holiday unit. Stroll down the hallway and you will find 3 bedrooms, two with double beds and the third a bunkroom with 4 singles. If you need the extra beds, there is also a double trundle bed and double futon in the lounge room.
JFS Rhyanna was first launched in July 2010 and is the newest houseboat on the Tweed River. She has three separate bedrooms, all doubles and if you need the extra bed, there is a double sofa bed in the lounge room. With her timber finishing Rhyanna presents a stylish finish.
Misty Blue is a lovely houseboat, small enough not to intimidate the inexperienced and large enough to give plenty of room.
The separate bedrooms also give a degree of privacy not normally found on a vessel this size.
With walk-around decks she is great for fishing and fly bridge controls mean that the captain is not isolated from any activities.
Pluto is a houseboat that feels like a boat. Mono-hulled with plenty of timber work she has that “boaty” atmosphere.
Pluto can sleep six (6) people, with two double beds and two single beds, however she is ideal for the couple who like a bit of extra room or mum and dad and a couple of kids.
There is a double vario bed (converts from a lounge) in the lounge area if you have extra guests to visit, however we do recommend Runaway Bear for two people only (licenced for up to four).
